Dr. Masera completed his Bachelor of Science Degree from Houston Baptist University, in 1980. He graduated from University of Texas Dental Branch, Houston, in 1984.
Dr. Masera has practiced dentistry for over 30 years, and has been in the Hillcroft location for 20 years. He belongs to the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association and the Greater Houston District Dental Society.
Continuing education is very important to Dr. Masera and he and his staff attend classes to stay abreast of the latest in dentistry on a regular basis. Dr. Masera’s priority is providing the very best in Dentistry for his patients. It is truly and honor and privilege to serve the patients of his Practice.
Dr. Masera enjoys hunting, fishing, and golf. He is involved in many church activities, and the most important part of his life is his family. Dr. Masera and his wife Connie have three daughters. Spending time with his family is the most important past time in his life.
Olivia has been in dentistry for over 30 years and has been with Dr. Masera for over 28 years. Her passion for dentistry started in high school. She believes in excellence and works very hard to help Dr. Masera’s patients understand their treatment and their journey to optimum oral health.
Olivia finds dentistry very enjoyable and rewarding. She loves the feeling of appreciation, when a patient completes their dentistry, and they feel confident with their beautiful smile. Olivia, along with Dr. Masera, enjoy attending continuing education courses to stay on the leading edge of dentistry.
Olivia shares her life with her husband for over 30 years. Olivia and Joe have three wonderful boys, Joe, Matthew and Eric. She also has two grandsons, Eli and Ethan who have Nana wrapped around their little fingers. Olivia’s entire family lives in the Houston area, which allows them to spend time together doing the things they enjoy, like fishing and hiking.
Mayra is Dr. Masera’s very talented and friendly Recare Coordinator. She loves to keep all Dr. Masera’s patients on time and healthy by helping them with their hygiene appointments.
Mayra was born and raised in Houston, TX, making her a true Texan. She graduated from Parkview Baptist School and then chose dentistry to be her career. Mayra loves to help her patients understand their insurance benefits and providing excellent service is a goal of hers.
Mayra became interested in dentistry through an on the job training program where she was able to gain the skills needed to start her career. She enjoys meeting new people and making them feel welcome.
Mayra has a beautiful little girl who she can’t wait to get home to everyday and they love spending their free time going to the park, movies and traveling.
Mariana is Dr. Masera’s Administrative/Insurance Coordinator. Her friendly personality is a great addition to our team and she loves helping patients understand their dental insurance benefits.
Mariana is excited to have the opportunity to help her patients achieve their perfect smile. Mariana has always cared about her own dental health, and now she has the opportunity to use her knowledge to help Dr. Masera’s patients.
Mariana has a beautiful little girl who takes all of her attention, and is the youngest of four siblings. Her family is very tight, and they love spending time together.
Ashley graduated from Madison High School and attended Texas School of Business, where she graduated from their Dental Assistant Program.
Ashley feels dentistry is a great career for her, and she loves to help patients obtain optimum oral health and beautiful smiles.
Ashley is married and she and her husband have three beautiful children, Julius, Jaycee and Eli who are their pride and joy. She comes from a large family with two other sisters and two brothers. Ashley will tell you she does not have much free time. Taking care of three children and working, keeps her very busy. Whenever she gets a chance, she loves to read, play kickball and of course, shop.
Janie is one of Dr. Masera’s experienced and skilled Dental Assistants. She is a registered Dental Assistant in the State of Texas, and she has over 20 years of dental assisting experience.
Janie’s passion for dentistry makes her patients feel at ease and comfortable. She especially enjoys watching her patients overcome their fear of visiting the Dentist. The best part of her day is seeing her patients’ beautiful smiles after their treatment
Janie is happily married to Juan, and they have a very large extended family. Janie will tell you the best part of family is being Nana to four adorable grandchildren. Her family and faith mean the world to her. When she has free time, she loves to travel, and do outdoor activities.
Karen is Dr. Masera’s Dental Hygienist. She is the newest addition to Dr. Masera's office. Karen is a registered Dental Hygienist in the state of Texas. Karen's passion for dentistry started at a very young age and she feels very accomplished to turn her dream into reality. Karen's goal is to provide our patients with the necessary tools to improve and maintain their oral health.
Karen studied at Lamar Institute of Technology, where she completed an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene.
Karen enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs and two cats. She also enjoys music festivals, weight lifting, and countless hours of thrifting.
Niki received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of St. Thomas and went to the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston to become a Registered Hygienist in the State of Texas. Niki is following her father’s career path in keeping dentistry in the family, and we are so glad she is part of the office.
Niki helped with medical mission trips from 2007-2012, where she fell in love with helping people through dentistry.
Niki is married to Paul and they live in the Heights. In Niki’s spare time she enjoys dancing, watching scary movies, learning new things and going on long walks and adventures with her husband. She has also been known to occasionally beat her father in a heated Chess game. Niki is full of brains and beauty…inside and out. We think she gets the beauty part from her Mom. It has always been a dream for Niki to follow in her father’s footsteps and pursue a career in dentistry. I guess you could say she was born and raised loving teeth!
